You know what?
After the 'Architect' episode, I wonder what happened to the village of magical engineers. -_- It's like they never showed up again ever.
Which bugs me since Dipsy (and pretty much all of People Get Ready) was made in response to the fact that there were all these now-jobless and discriminated-against engineers everywhere in the Rexverse. xD
(If it wasn't really clear in the fict, Dipsy's a railway engineer's apprentice.)
Well, I realized her workclothes: [link]
aren't canon and must be fixed. Glargbh. Which isn't really a bad thing - because I love that weird and gay little turtlenecked jumpsuit all the engineers seem to wear. xD
After experimenting with colour for a week, I just shrugged and gave up. xd She'll have a proper colour scheme someday, but until then, enjoy the black and white outlineyness of this!Name:
Diana 'Dipsy' TernAge:
16 (a little over a year older than Rex)Powers:
Save for a decent knowledge of machine parts and a gun, she's a regular girl. Oh! Yes. She can also do that trick with the cherry stem with her tongue - it's always a hoot. Personality:
Clever, overconfident and loyal. She's not the prettiest girl around, but she's easily one of the most trustworthy. She's also cocky as hell - although Rex suspects half of it's overcompensation for being so short.
Despite being British, she hates fish and chips. And Scottish music. And London.
People Get Ready is a Generator Rex fanfiction - With Six gone MIA on a case in England, Rex runs away from Providence to follow him. Unfortunately, this is where things get complicated - Providence UK is searching for an incurable EVO along the British Railways, and the one thing standing in their way is a girl called Dipsy - who isn't above taking Rex hostage to save her best friend.
All alone in England without any of his family, Rex is going to have to use all the skills he's been taught to survive and all the morality Providence hasn't killed in order to make one of the biggest decisions of his life.
